How We Met

Her Side:
It was just another study session at the university library in 2013. I was deep in my notes, focused on preparing for an upcoming exam, when Vuyi walked up to me, looking like he had a question. He asked if I had a timetable because he needed to know the exam date for his business management course, but hadn’t brought his own. I offered to ask a friend who was taking the same class and let him know. He casually asked for my number, promising to call and check if I’d managed to find the date.

Little did I know, that one phone call would turn into so much more. After that day, he never stopped calling, and each call brought us closer. Vuyi slowly convinced me that I was meant to be his wife, and so our love story began…

The first call felt like magic, and I couldn’t help myself—I just kept calling. With every conversation, I felt even more certain she was the one for me. Slowly, I convinced her, too, and our love story began…
